It's been a month since I moved to Ljubljana (that sounds so grown up!) and due to my simple and loose school timetable I was able to spend my free time exploring the city. Ljubljana is beautiful in Autumn and my favorite thing this past week has been driving around with my bike. Even though it's a city full of traffic, you can smell that amazing scent of Autumn - colorful leaves falling from the trees everywhere and roasted chestnuts every 500 meters.

So if you're like me, you can rent a city bike and explore your surroundings.

With the bike (or by bus, if you buy a pass called Urbana) you can get around faster. You should check out PreŇ°eren Square (France PreŇ°eren was one of our best poets), Tromostovje (Triple Bridge), the Ljubljana Castle (you can get there either by walking, or with a funicular that takes about a minute), the Zoo, and the Skyscraper (there's a restaurant at the top and the view is amazing, especially now with the colorful trees).

When you start feeling hungry, I recommend restaurant Fresco. It's one of my favorite restaurants and for an average of 7€ you can eat a delicious lunch (or if you're an exchange student and have vouchers for meals, you only pay 3,70€).

If you're like me, you eat ice cream anytime, for me the weather doesn't matter. For those of you, there's an amazing ice cream bar Grefino, where you can make your own sundae with different kinds of toppings. And for those of you that are too weak for ice cream in October, they also have waffles (again, you choose your own toppings).

For dinner you should check out Thai Inn Pub, a restaurant with amazing Thai food, where you can stay for a fun quiz (with awesome prizes) and karaoke every first Thursday of the month. They also have cooking lessons if you're interested (it costs 60€ for one afternoon). *bad photo, but this was my friends and I at the quiz*

There are a lot of events going on this Autumn (this past weekend there was the Ljubljana marathon, and this week there will be many Halloween parties), so if you want to stay up to date with anything going on, check out Eventbrite. You  can also create your own events and sell tickets for free!
